Welcome to Meander Valley Yoga

We offer weekly classes in Deloraine and Western Creek and regular retreats, focusing on different aspects of yoga

With its roots in a classical yoga lineage, we offer a gentle practice, suitable for beginners to advanced practitioners. All classes include body postures (asana) for increasing strength and flexibility, breathing exercises (pranayama) for improving respiratory capacity, inducing vitality and the release of tensions and meditation for enhancing mental clarity, focus and deep relaxation.

 

Each class caters for all students to the best of our ability, with simpler postures for beginners & those with health issues (back care is always considered) while also offering challenges to those with experience. You will learn how the practices can be modified and practiced in a way that is most beneficial to you and your body's condition.

We also regularly invite other teachers to hold retreats, focusing on special aspects of yoga, like Ayurveda, mantra, vegetarian cooking, yogic lifestyle and advanced yoga and meditation practices (deepening sadhana). We celebrate the yogic lifestyle with regular kirtan and havan ceremonies.
